How much should I be spending on Loss Prevention

According to the National Retail Security Survey the large major retailers spend about 1 percent of their gross sales on the loss prevention budget. So if you gross around $1,000,000 then your budget would be $10,000.

Smaller stores will have even less of an expense because once the Detection system is purchased the recurring security tag expenses are minimal.
