Guess who's coming to dinner...

Only two members of this shoplifting trio will be able to make it to dinner at home this evening. This threesome of theft was caught stealing from several stores including The Children’s Place, Gap, Old Navy, and Gymboree. Edna Rideout, Arius Marcelin, and Kesha Brown were all arrested on Feb 3rd in Rehoboth, DE. Arius Marcelin remains behind bars while the other two alleged thieves are free on bond. Some of the stores that were targeted had Sensormatic and Checkpoint EAS systems. These shoplifters were caught and arrested. EAS security systems do work! This spring as retailers are hoping for a strengthening economy, loss prevention experts are predicting a continuing spike in shoplifting in states that are still hard hit by the jobless rate. Florida, California, and Arizona are particularly troublesome areas where shoplifting out of desperation has greatly increased incidents of lower end theft. Use of extraordinary security measures is clearly warranted in these high risk zones.
